SUMMARY :
Without the strength of our Fabrication team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Press Break Operator Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Press Break Operator.
As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Press Break Operator, you will adhere to procedures and policies in support of the Quality Policy and Customer satisfaction. Support fabrication personnel by performing general fabrication duties to meet or exceed the company’s quality standards. Efficiently manage time, equipment and resources in order to support first time quality and on time delivery. The Press Brake Operator must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality (Ref. Quality Procedures). The Press Brake Operator shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety (Ref. job travelers and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program Handbook). The Press Brake Operator shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman’s policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, adjust, and operate press brake machines to perform precision sheet metal forming.Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine material specifications, bend sequence, and tooling requirements.Select and install correct tooling (dies, punches, back gauges) for each job.Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, micrometers, and contour gages to ensure conformance to specifications.Perform first article inspections and complete required production documentation.Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to maintain part accuracy and quality.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in compliance with 5S and safety standards.Report any equipment malfunctions, nonconforming material or safety issues to supervision immediately.Work collaboratively with engineers, quality inspectors, and other operators to optimize production and minimize wasteMaintain and Realize AS9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Responsible for maintaining press brake tooling in good order and ready for use.Responsible for maintaining press brakes in good order and ready for use.Responsible for set-ups and tear down of tooling for production work.Responsible for directing helpers in support of first-time quality and on-time delivery.Must understand how customers’ products are impacted in the event of failure.Any other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, have excellent communication skills and be able to interact well with all levels of Management.Must have experience with Siemens 840D and Fanuc 31i – B5 Controls.Must have excellent blueprint interpretation skills.Must have thorough understanding of machine set-ups, tooling, and cutters.Must have direct communication with internal customers.Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements.Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school graduate of equivalent in work experience.Thorough understanding of press brake equipment, tooling and operating procedures.Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, good communications skills and able to interact with Management and staff.Minimum 2 years of press brake operation experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and material characteristics (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and work instructions.Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.Attention to detail and accuracyCommitment to safety and qualityTeamwork and communicationProblem-solving and continuous improvement mindsetMust have excellent communication skills.must have excellent blueprint interpretation skills.Must be able to use inspection hand tools.Must be able to lift 25 lbs.Must have direct communication with internal customers.Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements.Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions.ITAR REQUIREMENTS :
