Overview
The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) at the College of Medicine is hiring a Research Assistant for a mobile health project focused on vascular disease.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Transportation to the clinics and hospitals in Gainesville is necessary and cannot be provided by employer. Ability to use a variety of mobile phones and apps.
Preferred
Same as Qualifications : proficient in human subject research, experience following IRB protocols for a study, prior experience working on grant-funded research studies, prior experience working in a medical setting or with patients. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to enthusiastically, independently, and confidently engage patients and their caregivers in person and via phone to screen, recruit, consent, train, and support data collection, in the context of their clinical episode. Must also be confident to effectively build rapport with clinical staff. Other requirements include : a team-player, someone who is adaptable to a chaotic clinic environment that is fast-paced, organizational skills needed to track adherence to study protocols, patient adherence, gift card payments, logging recruitment, screening, and data collection information, and a good attitude!
