The Stephenson Cancer Center’s Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) is now hiring for a Staff Research Assistant - HPRC . This position works on multiple ongoing research studies and it serves as the first point of contact for participants at HPRC. Primary duties include providing assistance to a research staff by collecting data, keeping records, conducting literature searches, technical research, analyzing data, and preparing reports with minimal supervision.

Duties :
- Participates in clinical research projects collecting data from patients and / or participants in a study. Completes informed consent procedures with study participants.
- Collects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and / or hard files. (e.g., in-person questionnaires, smartphone-based questionnaires) pertaining to smartphone and tablet-based research projects.
- Conducts data analyses, interprets data, draws conclusions, and discusses with principal investigator.
- Keeps detailed logs of all research related projects or activities. Meticulously follows study protocols. Maintains clear, concise, and consistent logs of reported issues and work performed.
- Conducts literature searches.
- Prepares various reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content that may be submitted for publication. Prepares various reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content that may be submitted for conference presentation or publication.
- Constructs tests or assists in the construction of tests.
- Collaborates with other researchers or colleagues.
- Participates in meetings and presents research findings to fellow researchers and Principal Investigator.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. (e.g., assisting the principal investigator in other administrative tasks and in supervising / mentoring junior research staff).
