We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centered care within a community health center seeking to improve access to high-quality medical and behavioral health services for diverse and underserved populations.
This full-time position requires availability on the first and last Thursday and Saturday of each month, from 10 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM. Standard working hours will be Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and reassessments, including diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including those used in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders.
- Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects, and adjust treatment as needed.
- Participate in health monitoring, crisis intervention, and care coordination activities.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, case managers, medical staff, and support personnel.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field.Licensed and registered as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.Current BLS certification.DEA registration.Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP).MAT certification preferred.Must have experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ and individuals with HIV.
