SSP Innovations, LLC is looking for a UI / UX Engineer with software and development experience to join our growing business.  As a UI / UX Engineer will work closely with the UI / UX Director and the design team to create intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for the 3-GIS Suite of Products.

This role involves translating design concepts into functional and responsive user experiences, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to established design standards.

The UI / UX Engineer will collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centered software solutions.   Duties and responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Duties :

  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and user flows given product requirements.
  • Translate wireframes, mock-ups and user flows into functional and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure the successful implementation and technical feasibility of UI / UX designs.
  • Develop and maintain UI design components and style guides, ensuring consistency across all products and applications.
  • Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to gather feedback for design improvements.
  • Advocate for user needs and best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Work within an agile development environment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and present design deliverables to communicate interaction concepts to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and UI / UX design trends.

Qualifications Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or a relevant field is preferred, with 3+ years relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a UI / UX Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Figma.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving abilities.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Software Development, especially front-end web applications Experience with GIS, preferably ESRI Understanding of fiber or utility networks Experience with agile methodology Working conditions This position operates remotely but requires occasional presence in a professional office environment.
  • This role requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
  • This role may require occasional travel, both domestically and internationally.
  • Physical requirements The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
  • This is a largely sedentary role.
