Senior Indirect Buyer
Fortna is seeking a Senior Indirect Buyer to join our Global Procurement team. This role will focus on managing indirect spend (approx. $200M annually), driving measurable cost savings, and ensuring contractual compliance across a broad range of categories. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with deep knowledge of contract language, experienced in ERP systems, and comfortable collaborating with executive leadership and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing initiatives for indirect spend categories, ensuring best value and compliance with company policies.
- Negotiate commercial terms and detailed contract language to mitigate risk and protect Fortna's interests.
- Support the achievement of established cost savings and cost avoidance KPIs, ensuring performance targets are met annually.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Operations, Finance, Legal, and international business units.
- Analyze spend data, identify opportunities for cost savings, and execute sourcing strategies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and contract records in ERP systems (Infor LN, IQMS, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Support project management activities related to procurement initiatives and system implementations.
- Partner with global teams to align sourcing strategies and leverage scale.
Qualifications
5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with a focus on indirect spend.Proven success in contract negotiation, contract language review / interpretation, and delivering cost savings results tied to KPIs.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally with Infor LN, IQMS, and Microsoft Dynamics.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively across global teams and navigate cultural differences.Preferred Experience
