Overview
We are seeking an Industrial CADDesigner who will take part in 3D Scanning to become a part of our industrial engineering group. You will prepare detailed working drawings of machinery as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. You will be trained on the 3D scanning and the software used for this. Traveling is a requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and draft bulk material handling devices.
- Create fabrication drawings as per ASME Y 14.5 standards. Review and modify designs to reduce production deficiencies.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments.
- Travel to work site locations as part of the role.
- Work with formed sheet metal and machined parts design.
- Proficient in Inventor or other CAD software.
- Familiarity with machine designs and production drawings.
- Read production drawings and work from hand sketches.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with the team; able to work independently with minimal instruction.
- 3D scanning training will be provided; 3D scanning experience is preferred.
- Use the 3D scanner to efficiently scan and measure necessary materials for each job.
- Convert scans into drawings and ensure accuracy.
- Be meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Work under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality projects and maintain project documentation.
Work Schedule & Travel
Office hours are 8 A.M. – 5 P.M. (Monday – Friday) with a minimum of 40 hours per week.May be required to come in early, stay late after business hours or work on weekends depending on workload.Travel is required.Compensation & Benefits
