NetSuite Implementation Consultant

Our nonprofit client in New City, NY is seeking an Accountant with strong NetSuite experience to support the finance department through a critical system transition. This role will combine core accounting responsibilities with hands-on involvement in the organization's NetSuite implementation, ensuring accurate financial reporting and a smooth system rollout.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, AP / AR support, and month-end close activities.

Partner with external NetSuite consultants to configure the system in alignment with nonprofit accounting needs.

Serve as the finance department's subject matter expert in NetSuite, testing modules, identifying issues, and suggesting process improvements.

Document accounting workflows, system processes, and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency.

Train finance staff on NetSuite functionality and provide ongoing support.

Assist leadership in optimizing NetSuite for financial reporting, budget tracking, and grant compliance.

Ensure timely resolution of accounting and system-related issues to keep the implementation on track.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit or multi-entity environment.

Hands-on NetSuite experience required; prior involvement in system implementation or optimization strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting principles (preferred).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors.

Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
