Overview
Play with a Purpose Pediatric Clinic has just expanded into a newly built facility with a sensory gym in Greenville, TX. Come join this fun and family operated clinic offering full time and part time hours. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral therapy and experience working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. This role focuses on helping children acquire new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and increase independence in various settings, including the client's home, school, or a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs.
- Work one-on-one with children to teach skills such as communication, social interaction, daily living skills, and play skills.
- Use a variety of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, including positive reinforcement, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), and Natural Environment Teaching (NET).
- Collect accurate and reliable data on client progress as specified in the treatment plan.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the BCBA, parents, and other team members regarding the client's progress and any changes in behavior.
- Provide support and training to parents and caregivers on how to implement ABA strategies in the home to ensure consistency.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for the child.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field; certification in Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities.Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles.Proficient in data collection methods and medical terminology related to patient care.Familiarity with medical documentation practices and maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA standards.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.Work Setting : Play with a Purpose is a fun and flexible work environment
Schedule : Both Part-Time & Full-Time Hours are available
Compensation : Compensation is competitive and based on experience and RBT certification.
