Job Description :

This position will be responsible for providing Systems Engineering support for systems and associated subsystems across spectral programs in the Space and Airborne Systems Segment of L3Harris Technologies.

Our Spectral Systems teams serve a broad array of government, civil, and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth for a variety of commercial and governmental users.

Essential Functions :

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior systems engineer to join our development team. The systems engineer will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team, designing, implementing, maintaining, and sustaining space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams utilizing systems modeling in tools like Cameo and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions. S upport technically through the product / program full life cycle including advanced R&D, capture, proposals, design, integration & test, verification, and sustainment utilizing MBSE.

• Lead a team interdisciplinary team as a Product Owner, CAM, IPTL in space mission engineering, including mission design, analysis, and operations.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to develop and manage system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Design and implement software systems to support space mission engineering.
• Decompose high-level requirements into detailed, actionable specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of system components.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct system-level analyses and trade studies to support design decisions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans.
• Support the verification and validation of system requirements through rigorous testing and analysis.
