The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer II to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will collaborate closely with talented people in US, Stockholm, and India across roles of product management, design, and development. Your primary responsibility will be enhancing the UX of Planview’s enterprise software solutions through research and prototyping methods.
What You\'ll Do
Be part of a product management and design team that designs (research, ideate, prototype) enterprise software, with a focus on Planview’s premier products and platform services.
Work in an agile environment, with multiple designers, product managers, and development teams, as we bring to life our vision for connected work.
Collaborate with other product design leaders, product managers, developers, and users through research methods to imagine, design, test, and launch impactful software.
Create alignment between user needs and business strategies / goals through use of Planview’s design system as well as innovative product-specific solutions.
Be capable of contributing to the growing Planview design system when such efforts are prioritized.
Support continuous improvement of product user experience with operational excellence.
Stay up-to-date with technology trends, tools, and approaches, and share this knowledge with the product design team when given the opportunity.
What You\'ll Bring
Bachelor\'s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Computer Science, Psychology, or related field of study
Experience working in enterprise software design (3+ years)
Experience in user-centered design interviews and needs assessments, tasks analysis, persona development, use cases, and user stories definition
Experience with using corporate design systems and managing design systems for individual products
Experience with using Figma to design mockups and deliver prototypes that can be made adaptive for users on different devices
Familiarity with accessibility and how to design accessible product experiences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills that make you a valuable team member
Confidence in setting priorities for your work while also communicating expectations to leadership
Knowledge of the B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) industry and work / resource management software is a plus
Ability to work remotely, or from an office location if you are within a short commute proximity at least one day a week (near the Austin office is preferred).
