School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Tampa, Florida

A healthcare professional is needed to provide specialized nursing care in a K-12 school setting located in Tampa, FL. This role involves one-on-one support for students with medical needs, requiring an RN or LPN with pediatric experience and relevant licensure. This contract position runs through the current school year (CSY) and demands strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to meet the unique needs of individual students.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

• Deliver one-on-one nursing care to students with diagnoses including gastrostomy tubes (G-tube), tracheostomies, and epilepsy.\n
• Monitor and manage medical equipment and emergency response for assigned students during school hours.\n
• Accompany students to ensure safety during school transportation (bus or car rider).\n
• Collaborate with school staff and families to maintain accurate health records and support student wellness.\n
• Comply with district policies and complete additional credentialing requirements related to school nursing.\n\nQualifications and Experience : \n
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with ASN or BSN.\n
• Minimum of two years nursing experience with pediatric patients.\n
• Current CPR certification.\n
• Ability to complete district-required background checks and credentialing processes, including AHCA prints.\n
• Comfortable working onsite in a school environment full-time during designated school hours.\n\nLocation and Schedule : \n
• Three positions available at various Tampa school sites.\n
• School hours vary by assignment, ranging from approximately 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 40 PM.\n
