Security Officer - Armed Government Site

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and respond to situations as needed, all while carrying out armed duties. Pay Rate : $26.21 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PMThur04 : 30 AM - 01 : 45 PMFri01 : 45 PM - 11 : 00 PMSun01 : 45 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Interact with the public and / or employees in a courteous and professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and communicate any security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support law enforcement and / or emergency responders as directed during incidents at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by the client.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
