ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Loan Portfolio Strategist to join our Finance Team. This in-person role offers an exciting opportunity to deepen and broaden analytical skills within a high-impact environment. Located in our Plano, TX office, the Loan Portfolio Strategist will work closely with various departments in a visible role to drive cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include enhancing reporting, optimizing business processes, and contributing valuable insights to improve strategies, manage risk, and maximize profitability. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze loan performance, prepayment trends, delinquency rates, and pipeline forecasts to provide insights
- Collaborate with investors to deliver portfolio performance updates, respond to data requests, and support reporting needs
- Partner with accounting, capital markets, servicing, and operations teams to ensure accurate data reporting
- Work closely with leadership teams to enhance the quality and effectiveness of key performance reports
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by designing quality checks and reconciling data across multiple systems
- Lead ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and data deep dives to inform leadership decisions
- Build and maintain financial and operational models for forecasting, scenario planning, and portfolio analysis
- Develop and enhance KPIs to track performance and identify emerging trends
- Continuously identify and implement automation and workflow enhancement
- Partner with IT teams to automate recurring reports, streamline workflows, and improve reporting
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
- Support additional financial analysis, compliance reporting, and special projects as assigned

BA / BS degree required in Finance, Business, Accounting, or ManagementRequires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industryAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in complex Excel functions,SQL experience and comfortable working with large data setsFamiliarity with Secondary Marketing and Capital markets is a plusWE OFFER
