The Senior Account Manager at Torchlight is the primary owner of the post-sale relationship with our key defense customers.
This role is focused on ensuring customer satisfaction, driving product adoption, securing renewals, and identifying expansion opportunities within our existing defense lines of business.
You will serve as the trusted point of contact for Program Managers, Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), and Prime and sub-contractors. Responsibilities Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of DoD customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Lead the renewal process for all assigned accounts, from forecasting to negotiation and closing.
Proactively identify and develop expansion opportunities (upsell / cross-sell) within your accounts. Manage day-to-day subcontract activities, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to showcase value and align on future goals.
Act as the customer's advocate internally, relaying feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
Maintain accurate customer data, forecasts, and activity tracking in the CRM.
Qualifications Required Minimum of five (5) years of experience in account manager l roles within the defense industry.
Proven ability to grow defense accounts year over year. 5+ years’ demonstrated strong leadership experience leading teams in a matrixed environment. Proven track record of leadership in the defense sector, demonstrating expertise in driving growth and expansion.
In-depth understanding of the defense industry landscape, including knowledge of key players, trends, and opportunities.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to architect complex renewals and expansion efforts.
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a talent for building and nurturing strategic relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote work environment.
