job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital Provides care for a combined adult and pediatric patient population with mixed acuity Patient ratios are 1 : 5 with variable acuity Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Required to work every other weekend Floating to other units required when census warrants Uses Epic for charting Responsible for management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and implementing emergency interventions Administration of emergency and critical care medications as necessary Must adhere to isolation precautions and perform central line care Team structure supports both adult and pediatric emergency care Scrub colors required are any combination of navy and white First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible Minimal requested time off will be considered Holiday coverage requirements are in effect Virtual modules are required for onboarding, with up to 5 hours compensated Return staff must not have worked at the facility within the past year Active NY RN license required for consideration Minimum of 1 year of recent ER nursing experience Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Experience with Epic EMR required Competency with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV medications, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation Experience providing care for both adult and pediatric ED patients High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
