Diamond Grove Center Hospital is a premiere behavioral hospital that has been providing compassionate care to children and adolescents since 1997. Located in the beautiful city of Louisville, Mississippi, the hospital is a 55 bed, psychiatric behavioral health facility that offers inpatient acute care, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs.
Job Responsibilities
The role involves :
- Monitoring and controlling accounts receivables.
- Overseeing business office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met and net revenue is properly stated.
- Facilitating weekly A / R meetings with the CEO and Business Office Manager to communicate results and monitor areas of weakness.
- Managing the relationship between the Business Office, Intake, and Utilization Review departments to maximize patient revenue.
- Improving the profitability of the hospital by monitoring costs, especially staffing, payor mix, and length of stay.
- Assisting in the negotiation of contract terms with third-party payers.
- Preparing pro-forma analysis of new programs, contracts, etc., to determine estimated outcomes.
- Developing and monitoring policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines.
- Preparing monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports / analyses.
- Providing required reporting, including reconciliations, account analyses, and other information for various departments.
- Preparing the annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards.
- Performing other duties as assigned / required.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role in a healthcare setting.A bachelor's degree, with a master's degree preferred.A working knowledge of hospital financial operations, federal and local tax regulations, and all business office, accounting, payroll, and other administrative office operations.Skilled at interpreting financial analysis and performance information, preparing schedules and reports, using electronic spreadsheets, and manipulating data within proprietary and acquired databases.2% travel.Benefits
