Position Summary :

Independently performs mammographic procedures utilizing proper techniques and contrast media administration. Works within scope of practice and licensure for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and departmental activities. Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.

Essential Duties & Functions :

• Performs diagnostic-quality mammograms as ordered, evaluating images for quality.
• Obtains clinical history and data for procedure correlation.
• Implements safety measures, performs QC.
• Practices sterile techniques during biopsies.
• Assists radiologists in procedures and emergencies.
• Coordinates patient care to optimize satisfaction.
• Educates patients and families about procedures.
• Records and verifies documentation and physician orders.
• Maintains emergency equipment knowledge.
• Follows radiation safety policies.

Education : Associate degree in Allied Health, Radiologic Technology, with all mammography courses completed.

Licensure / Certification : CPR within 30 days, ARRT RT (R), ARRT RT (M) within 12 months, ODH licensure.

Experience : No prior experience required; one year preferred.

Skills : Human anatomy, EMR, RIS, radiation safety, FDA / MQSA database proficiency.
