Assistant District Attorney - Kenosha County - Multiple Positions

This Assistant District Attorney position is a full-time position to be filled in the District Attorney's office for Kenosha County, located in Kenosha, WI. This is a State position in the unclassified service.

The Kenosha County District Attorney's office consists of the District Attorney, the Deputy District Attorney, 17 full-time Assistant District Attorneys, and one half-time Assistant District Attorney. In addition, there are 15 support staff consisting of paralegals, legal secretaries, 6 Victim Witness Specialists, and an office investigator. Kenosha County utilizes a vertical prosecution model. In addition to criminal matters, the office handles CHIPS, Guardianship, and TPR cases. The attorney hired to fill this position will be given the opportunity to handle all types of criminal cases.

Salary Information

The starting salary for the position will be $76,378 annually ($36.72 per hour).

Attorneys who are currently employed by the State of Wisconsin are invited to apply and may be able to transfer at their current pay rate. Attorneys who have left the position of Wisconsin elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney within the last five years may be able to be hired at a wage rate above the minimum.

Qualifications

Only attorneys who have been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin may be hired.
