American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring trauma and procedural experience in a cancer care environment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Interventional Radiology department within a cancer center and connected main hospital campusPatient population includes cancer patients and cases requiring IR procedures and conscious sedation recoveryResponsibilities include assisting with PICC lines during call shifts (PAs insert PICCs)Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PMOn-call required 1–2 days per week, averaging 4–6 calls per monthFloating between two connected campuses requiredUses EPIC for documentationPrimary duties include assisting with interventional radiology procedures and recovering patients post-conscious sedationEMR is EPIC; prior experience using EPIC is beneficialFirst-time travelers and local candidates are acceptedHoliday coverage required for at least two out of three holidays during the contractNo block scheduling availableProfessional scrubs requiredSupport is provided by a collaborative IR teamFacilities are connected via a pedestrian bridge\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or Compact RN license requiredBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredAt least 1.5 years of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience or stroke center experience requiredExperience with A-line and procedural wedge pressures requiredExperience with EKOS or similar devices highly preferredScrub experience preferred but not requiredPrior IR experience preferredOpen or active background or license hits not acceptedFormer staff must have at least a 1-year gap from the specified health system before eligibility\n Benefits\n
