Network Engineer

About the Role

Our TEKsystems client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the VP of Networking in maintaining and evolving a secure, high-performance enterprise network. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor a small team, and contribute to cloud migration and automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls .
• Develop and enforce network security policies in compliance with financial regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS).
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support hybrid cloud integration .
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Lead and mentor a small networking team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve network resiliency, automation, and security .
• Provide escalation support for critical network issues and ensure 24 / 7 operational readiness .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00 / hr.
