Engineering Project Coordinator

Job Description

Responsible for efficient and effective scheduling and completion of work orders for operational shut downs (OCUs) and capital shutdowns for Engineering department. Accurately and efficiently perform, document and communicate Maintenance assessments on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

Effectively assist and lead engineering personnel to ensure that all policies and procedures are developed, implemented and followed according to company policies, customer specifications, regulatory requirements and Food Safety & Quality requirements. Participate in 3rd Party Audits, regulatory inspections and corrective actions as needed.

Assist engineering with large scale engineering activities and capital projects. Plan and schedule work orders for OCU's and capital shutdowns by assessing priority repairs. Prepare preventative work orders weekly for maintenance leads. Ensure all food safety work orders are closed in a timely manner. Contract and oversee outside contractors.

Responsible for helping the plant maintain compliance within local, state and federal environmental regulations.

To maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. To keep the Reliability Engineer informed of daily issues.

Assist Reliability Engineer and Maintenance Planner as technical resource as needed.

Qualifications

High School diploma

Post Secondary Technical Degree or equivalent experience

2 years of mechanical work experience
