Now Hiring an Unarmed Security Flex Officer! Tampa - Clearwater - St. Pete
Responsibilities
- Flex officers cover open posts, vacation requests, extra coverage, and call outs. Flex officers must be able to fill shifts when needed; if a utility officer cannot fulfill this commitment, this may limit their ability to remain a flex officer.
- If a flex officer has less than 40 hours for the week and is called within four (4) hours to start a shift, the flex officer will be required to fill the shift. Failure to fill a shift after being offered a shift three (3) times may lead to discipline up to removal from the program.
- During major holidays, vacation requests from security officers may require a flex officer to fill openings.
- Must be able to answer or return calls / texts with urgency to cover shift openings.
- Cross-training may occur to enable flex officers to work up to 40 hours per week where possible.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear administrative logs at the front desk for people or property, including packages.
- Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required; monitor security cameras and conduct patrols; respond to incidents and emergencies; document incidents for management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Relevant security background experience.At least 18 years of age or older; High school diploma or equivalent; Valid Security D License.Excellent communication, observational, and two-way radio usage skills.Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving history with no at-fault accidents in the last three years.Strong multi-tasking abilities; able to meet physical essential functions (e.g., lifting 50+ lbs, patrols, stairs, inclement weather).Must be comfortable around dogs, cats, and other pets / animals; able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual is a plus; evening, overnight, and weekend availability required.Compensation : $17.00 / hour
