POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES :
The Director of Marketing is responsible for delivering and managing marketing and communications programs to support agency-wide strategic initiatives. In partnership with leadership and their teams, this role will proactively identify, recommend and create opportunities and solutions to promote understanding of SJJCC's services while assisting in the refinement and building of new capacities in digital, social media, PR and brand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Director Responsibilities :
- Partners with leadership to set strategic goals and objectives for programs
- Oversees the program’s overall performance and success
- Prepares and monitors department budgets
- Plans and executes all program initiatives and report on program outcomes
- Ensures programs stay compliance with agency and legal regulations
- Communicates objectives and outcomes with Senior Leadership and Board when necessary
- Supervises Marketing team to assure smooth and timely execution and management of marketing materials
- Conducts performance reviews and set performance goals for program and team members
- Recommends staffing requirements, recruit and train new team members
- Recommends promotions, transfers and terminations
- Partners with Human Resources to coach, counsel and discipline team members
- Enforces SJJCC policies and procedures
