Associate Project Manager, IT
Associate Project Manager, IT for Tractor Supply will manage the day-to-day activities of one or multiple relatively small and / or less complex scope and deliverables IT projects to deliver tasks on time, within budget, and within scope.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Responsible for managing and planning projects consisting of one or more small project teams
- Ability to communicate with business, IT management, peers with composure.
- Lead project activities by creating project plans, defining timelines, identifying key milestones, and identifying resources needed on selected project(s)
- Responsible for managing relatively small and / or less complex budgets and / or financial implications of projects
- Ensures sessions are held to develop requirements and resolve issues working with business and IT partners
- Identifies issues that may stall project and addresses them by either resolving the issue or working with ePMO leadership to create an alternative solution
- Tracks progress and communicates project(s) status on a regular basis to all impacted parties
- Work with Program Manager to build communication plans for implementation to ensure all impacted parties (up stream / down stream) are informed of next steps for completion
- May also serve as Project Analyst to support Sr. Project managers in planning, estimating, forecasting, providing oversight and day-to-day management across the full project lifecycle on IT initiatives and projects.
Required Qualifications
Experience : 2-5 years of experience managing the successful delivery of web-based development projects. IT Experience is preferred, Retail Experience is preferred.
Education : Bachelor's degree in IT required. Equivalent years of related work experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Experience and understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile SCRUM, Waterfall, PRINCE 2, etc.).Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint with experience presenting to stakeholders.Makes analytical decisions and is accountable for all actions made by a team.Uses analytical ability and sound judgment acquired through significant experience to solve complex and varied problems.Working Conditions
