Product Manager

Product Manager University Park, IL

The Product Manager serves as the strategic leader and primary point of contact for assigned product lines, overseeing direction, functionality, competitiveness, and quality. Key responsibilities include conducting market analysis, developing product strategies, and making critical decisions regarding pricing, promotion, distribution channels, and customer service. This role requires continuous synthesis of market intelligence and trend forecasting to adapt strategies in a dynamic environment. The Product Manager collaborates cross-functionally to ensure product success and acts as the non-technical expert for their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full product lifecycle from development to obsolescence.
• Establish product positioning and pricing strategies.
• Lead promotional planning and execution for assigned products.
• Serve as the central contact for all product-related inquiries.
• Prepare business plans and financial justifications for new product initiatives.
• Monitor and control gross profit margins through cost analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain and manage pricing structures including list, MAP, and promotional pricing.

The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $112000.00 / yr.

Strong Stock Options with a lot of growth, 11% bonus which can double to a 22% bonus depending on performance, Strong Work Life Balance : 8-4 : 30 no OT expected, 1 WFH day per week; Stable and Growing company with large client base providing equipment to CPD, NYPD, LAPD, IL Fire Departments
