Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs
The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost seeks an engaged and motivated candidate to serve as the Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs. The mission of the EVPP Faculty Affairs team is to recruit, retain, and support our extraordinary faculty community by building resources and programs that support career development, enhance instruction abilities, promote scholarship and research, and provide opportunities for mentorship and collaboration. The Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs will serve a key role in supporting this important mission through coordinating, facilitating, and amplifying faculty awards and honorifics.
The Assistant Director for Faculty Affairs will be responsible for the administration of Faculty Teaching Awards in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and will serve as a campus-wide point of contact for identifying and supporting nomination efforts for prestigious external faculty awards.
Responsibilities include :
- External Faculty Awards and Honorific Coordinate campus-wide efforts to increase representation of University of Texas faculty as recipients of prestigious external awards and members of national academies.
- Faculty Teaching Awards Manage full life cycle of Faculty Teaching Awards administered by the Provost's Office.
- Promotion and Tenure Program Support Coordinate promotion dossier review process for the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost.
- Reporting and General Program Support Coordinate reporting efforts for faculty awards and promotion and tenure outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications include :
Bachelor's Degree and at least seven years of experience in a university setting supporting faculty lifecycle, faculty HR, or faculty development processes.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet all deadlines and assignments.Proficient in fostering positive and productive interactions with a variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, tact, discretion, and diplomacy.Ability to work independently with little supervision.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written, oral / presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Preferred qualifications include :
Bachelor's Degree and more than seven years of experience in progressively experienced in a university setting supporting faculty lifecycle, faculty HR, or faculty development processes.Experience with relevant internal systems.Demonstrated success in process improvement and implementation.Excellence in building collaborative partnerships.Strong understanding of and experience with faculty affairs policies and processes.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and resourceful with a passion for continuous improvement.Salary range : $85,000+ depending on qualifications and experience.

Position may be eligible for hybrid work.Hybrid work schedule may be available.
