Contracts Administrator
Location : Tacoma, Washington
6-month contract
20-40 hours / week
About the Role
Brooksource is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Administrator to support the procurement, negotiation, and administration of contracts. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations while maintaining strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, amendments, and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with departments to develop contract specifications and scopes of work.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, expirations, and deadlines.
- Assist with procurement activities, including RFPs, RFQs, and bid processes.
- Provide guidance on contract terms, risk management, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of contract activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, contract management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience in contract administration, procurement, or compliance (public sector experience preferred).Strong knowledge of contract law, regulations, and procurement practices.Experience using Ariba and / or SAP for contract lifecycle management, including tracking expirations, requesting amendments, and monitoring burndown.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Proficiency with contract management systems and MS Office Suite.Preferred Skills
Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, NCMA) or similar.Experience in a utility or government agency environment.Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
