ECMO Manager
Location : Northern Virginia
Schedule : Monday–Friday, occasional exceptions
Stats : 120-160 cases per year. Top 10% in the US for volume
Position Overview
The ECLS Manage ensures ECMO program readiness, including equipment, staffing, education, and quality initiatives. This is a highly independent role requiring strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. The manager serves as the primary liaison between us and the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and team management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the ECLS Pediatric Coordinator and ECMO team.
- Manage ECMO scheduling, staffing levels, and performance reviews.
- Provide ECMO education, training, and competency evaluations.
- Assess ECMO circuits, troubleshoot issues, and recommend safe solutions.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on quality initiatives and process improvements.
- Participate in ECMO case reviews and mortality & morbidity discussions.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent communication with staff, patients, and families.
- Represent Innovative ECMO Concepts positively in all interactions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and company standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Respiratory Care, or Perfusion Technology (master’s preferred).Licensure : Active Virginia license (if applicable).Experience : 2+ years of ECMO experience with in-depth knowledge of extracorporeal life support.Skills : Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
