Job Overview
The Shipping Inventory Control Specialist will be expected to complete an accurate inventory of raw materials and maintain the report on a daily basis. Inventory and locations of raw materials will be maintained throughout the entire process from receiving material to the end finished product. Receiving material will be one of the primary functions of this position, so accurate tracking of raw materials will be crucial to be successful in this role. This position will require the associate to maintain a close working relationship with all departments while keeping safety and food safety in the fore front of all actions and decisions being made.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all warehouse inventory.
Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products.
Confirm proper and timely delivery of products to the manufacturing facility.
Perform various inventory counts; supplies and goods as needed.
Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean and tidy workspace is always kept.
Maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed.
Ensure that shipment materials match packing lists before dispatching orders.
Ensure proper transport, packaging, and placement of products.
Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning in order to create a more efficient fulfillment system.
Receive, unload, and store all incoming supplies.
Use handheld scan gun device to track material movement.
Print tags and apply for inventory function and traceability.
Complete all required receiving paperwork.
Pick and load all supply orders into supply truck.
Transfer goods in Macola system to insure inventory is moved to proper area(s).
Complete all required paperwork for supply orders.
Return all unused supplies from the plant to the warehouse, and transfer back in the warehouse inventory system.
Daily cycle counts as assigned by the Manager.
Maintain proper housekeeping of the warehouse to include sweeping floors, dusting walls, dumping garbage and keeping the restroom clean.
Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
3 or more years' experience with demonstrated warehouse responsibilities.
Math skills necessary for documentation requirements.
Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
Organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
Forklift / Scissor Lift Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is standing for 810-hour shift.
Ability to load and unload trucks.
Be able to push, pull and twist.
Be able to stand, stoop, bend and reach.
Lift and push up to 60 pounds.
Basic literacy (English) and math skills.
Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to wet, cold and / or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to sight, smells, and airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires that hearing protection be always worn in production areas.
