Duties

Provide strategic counseling and prosecution services related to patents in the life sciences sector.

Represent clients in global patent portfolio development, including due diligence and transactional support.

Advise on patent infringement defense and avoidance.

Participate in post-grant proceedings and disputes before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Develop protection strategies for second-generation drugs and biologics.

Conduct non-infringement and invalidity analyses for biotech innovations.

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in patent counseling and prosecution.

Background in handling patent strategies for life sciences clients, including biotech companies and investors.

Prior work involving international patent portfolio development and IP lifecycle management.

Experience with IP due diligence and post-grant proceedings.

Prior work in or exposure to the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.

Education

Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.

Certifications

Must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills

In-depth understanding of patent law and USPTO procedures.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking in relation to biotech innovations.
