Description of Work Unit
The Department of Soil and Crop Sciences focuses on education, research, and outreach to address state, national, and global food production challenges and soil ecosystem services. Our faculty and staff apply research-based solutions to benefit Colorado and the world. We offer academic programs to prepare students to address crop production, sustainability, and environmental quality challenges such as waste management, water quality, soil health, and reclamation of disturbed lands. There are opportunities for student involvement in cutting-edge research related to food production, ecosystem services, and land protection.

Position Summary
The department accepts applications on an ongoing basis from individuals interested in research positions. The open position may be temporary, special, or regular Research Associate (Level III, IV, or Senior) assignment and may be for limited time periods. This is an open pool; applications will be forwarded to open positions as they become available.
Required Job Qualifications
Level III : for individuals with a Research Associate II appointment or a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience, or PhD.
Level IV : for individuals with a Research Associate III appointment or a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of work-related experience, or a Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience or PhD + 2 years experience.
Senior : for individuals with RA IV + experience or Bachelor's degree + extensive related experience or Master's degree + significant professional experience or PhD + 5 years experience.
Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by time of application; CSU will not provide visa sponsorship for these positions.
