$27.00 to $35.00

Open to all shifts : 1st Shift (6 : 00am-2 : 30pm), 2nd Shift (3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm)

Lead Marine has immediate openings for Journeymen Structural Welders for the Shipyard Industry here in San Diego. This Welding job will be working on Naval Bases & Shipyards from 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm and overtime as needed. DBIDs badge in hand is a plus. Must have 5 years of navy repair / marine welding experience. Pay is dependent on skills and capability.

Responsibilities :

• Multi-pass. All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes : SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW
• Heating - Oxygen / Propane Heating Torch.
• Experience working in a physically demanding environment (shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, staging, etc.).
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.
• Air Carbon Arc Gouging.
• Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges
• Must be experienced with welding carbon steel and mild steel with ceramic tape backing.
