Security Monitoring Officer

The Security Monitoring Officer is responsible for real-time surveillance and monitoring of the mine site using electronic security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control software. The role is vital in detecting suspicious activity, ensuring compliance with access protocols, and supporting emergency response coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds, alarm systems, and access control systems to ensure site security.
• Identify and report unauthorized access, safety violations, and suspicious activities.
• Maintain real-time logs of all significant incidents and escalate to the Security Lead or Supervisor.
• Respond promptly to alarms and coordinate with ground security officers for physical verification.
• Track and control access permissions using electronic systems for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Perform routine checks to ensure all surveillance and monitoring equipment is functional.
• Support emergency response efforts by providing camera footage and coordinating site communication.
• Record footage and maintain secure logs for incident investigations or legal review.
• Assist in the implementation and review of security protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with other departments (Operations, HSE, HR) to ensure consistent enforcement of site access policies.
