The Role

As a leader in our Health & Home Department, this position is responsible for assisting the Health & Home Team Leader with product management, safety, quality control, merchandising, sales generation, gross margins, labor and general expense control, customer service, and profitability within the department. Readily shares information and product selection advice with customers.

More About What You'd Do

Provides outstanding customer service and readily communicates product information to increase sales and meet revenue goals; uses product information to increase sales and best service customers.

Assists the Health & Home Team Leader with developing and maintaining product displays that create an exciting marketplace; strives to develop displays that pique customer interest and impact customer buying trends.

Assists with the effective ordering of all products for the Health & Home Department; maintains product inventory at a level that promotes creative and effective sales merchandising and maximizes sales potential.

Works in partnership with the Health & Home Team Leader to determine order quantities and verify cost of goods.

Ensures all mis-picks, damaged goods, and credits are processed and managed within established guidelines.

Assists the Health & Home Team Leader with determining product selections; performs category management functions as assigned by the Health & Home Team Leader.

In partnership with the Health & Home Team Leader, determines daily projects; ensures daily tasks and assignments are accomplished correctly and in a timely manner.

Leads by example, provides team members with clear expectations and timely feedback.

Effectively delegates and follows up with Health & Home team members.

Successfully performs all duties of a Health & Home Clerk.

Demonstrates dependability and flexibility; meets attendance requirements.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the Health & Home Team Leader and / or Store Director Team.

What We're Looking For

Minimum two years of health and / or nutrition industry related experience preferred.

Must possess a minimum of two years of customer service experience.

Capable leadership skills; proven success as a team member. Ability to effectively delegate and follow-through.

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills required.

Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Exemplary attendance record.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Proven ability to positively affect sales generation.

Demonstrates a high-level of self-motivation; takes initiative; problem solves.

Possesses creative merchandising and display skills.

Wage / salary range : $21.30 - $25.15

Other things to know : Employment may be dependent upon successful background check and reference checks. All store employees must have a valid Washington State Food Workers Card to begin work.
