Summary
As a Sr. Controls Engineer, you will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of vendor specific PLC systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead programmer of the automation and controls systems of various manufacturers (Italy, Japan, Korea)
- Create, monitor, and modify logic for program design, simulation and testing, start-up, and troubleshooting
- Analyze equipment issues and lead the advancement of equipment programs
- Perform equipment preventive maintenance
- Create and track FDC
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert to improve equipment production
- Document procedures, including trouble shooting and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with multiple vendors
- Provide training to Engineers, Technicians, and Operators
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards :
- 5S3R Standards : Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS, or equivalent, relevant experienceExperience
7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environmentExperience in Battery systems or processes is desiredExperience with C# and PythonSkills
Expert knowledge of controls and electrical systems design, automation, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing assembly equipmentExpert knowledge of electrical systems and Mitsubishi PLC & Pro-face HMI softwareProven programming skillsStrong mechanical skillsProven problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent time management and the ability to work independentlyProactive, resourceful and highly motivatedExcellent communication skillsAbility to mentor, train, and collaborate with other teams across the organizationAbility to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production teamAbility to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global sitesBenefits Overview
