Industrial Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager to provide leadership on multiple projects of moderate to broad complexity. The ideal candidate will be accountable for project outcomes from inception through closeout, ensuring quality delivery within budget and time constraints.
Responsibilities
- Support sales in proposal pursuits and conduct internal project kickoff meetings with assigned resources.
- Develop Project Management Plans (PMPs) covering scope, goals, budget, timeline, procurement, cash flow, and deliverables.
- Communicate the PMP and any changes to relevant internal and external parties.
- Assist in selecting subcontractors and manage their scopes of work.
- Track project progress through regular meetings and project team channels.
- Manage change requests against the scope, issue scope change quotes to customers, and pursue change orders.
- Monitor billing milestones and inform accounting for customer invoice releases. Provide monthly budget and cash flow updates to accounting.
- Ensure all deliverables undergo appropriate QA / QC review before internal and external release.
- Report project risks to management promptly.
- Protect project margin through effective cost and price management.
- Coordinate resolution of issues with vendors and / or customers related to cost, design, or delivery.
- Respond to customer requests for information in a timely manner.
- Direct the project closeout process and conduct project audits, presenting results to the internal team.
- Participate in continual quality improvement of departmental activities.
- Comply with company safety regulations.
- Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
Essential Skills
Strong knowledge of project management tools, including scheduling software and cost control tools.Experience in construction / installation within an industrial environment.Understanding of pneumatic conveying concepts.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.Strong project management aptitude.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to read, comprehend, and follow complex instructions.Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and project management software.Good judgment to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of technical training in project management.BS degree in engineering with 5-8 years of experience or equivalent experience in project management.Experience with pneumatic conveying systems or previous manufacturing / capital equipment project management experience.Work Environment
The position is based on project sites within an industrial / manufacturing setting, involving oversight of electrical, insulation, and drywall contractors.

This is a Contract position based out of Circle Pines, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.00 / hr.
