Hydraulic Modeler (PE License Preferred)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Build, calibrate, and validate computer models for water and sewer systems to evaluate system performance.
- Conduct hydraulic analyses to support master planning, capital improvement planning (CIP), and design projects.
- Prepare technical calculations, reports, and documentation in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Identify performance deficiencies in collection and distribution systems, forecast future capacity issues, and recommend solutions.
- Execute project management tasks for modeling assignments, including scope development, budget tracking, and progress reporting.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews on modeling deliverables and project documents.
- Provide updates to project managers and clients on modeling results, progress, and recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and design staff in modeling tools and methodologies.
- Participate in client meetings, present technical findings, and deliver consultative support throughout project execution.
Required Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.810+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a focus on hydraulic modeling and infrastructure planning.Proficiency in modeling software such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater, WaterGEMS, or SewerGEMS .Experience with GIS tools, transient analysis, and data management.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables.$55 - $70 an hour
