Job Title
This is a part-time, non-union position.
Summary : Provides friendly and professional customer service; performs routine clerical work by receiving telephone calls, providing information to callers, and assisting with clerical work and administrative tasks.
Job Responsibilities :
- Greets residents and customers in a friendly professional manner.
- Reviews documents for accuracy and literary errors. Obtains the proper signatures if necessary.
- Answers telephone and provides information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate staff.
- Places outgoing calls to residents and vendors.
- Performs clerical functions including filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Assists with problem solving.
- Creates and maintains databases as necessary.
- Compiles, types, and prints statistical reports.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies.
- Operates office equipment, such as photocopiers, computers, and telephones.
- Assists with computer training and updates on software programs.
- Prepares requisitions as delegated.
- Complies with all Citywide and departmental policies, work rules, and procedures.
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).1-2 years related experience and / or training preferred.Previous customer service experience strongly preferred.Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents; computer files; electronic communications and government regulations.Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and general computer use strongly preferred.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers.Must be eligible to work in the United States.Working Conditions : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
