Quality Manager

Overview

Quality Manager - Aerospace at EverFab — a leading precision manufacturer in the East Aurora area with ISO9001 : 2015, AS9100D and ITAR certifications. Our 45,000 sq. ft. secure facility is climate controlled and equipped with advanced machining and validation equipment.

The Quality Manager will be a member of the Management Team. They will ensure a high level of customer service, investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality, and plan, coordinate and manage quality and process control programs to ensure continuous and consistent production of quality parts that meet our customers' specifications. This role may involve hands-on inspection, programming and running CMM and performing manual inspections.

They will coordinate quality inspection of parts or components made to our customers' specifications and prioritize activities to ensure on-time deliveries. They will review and make final disposition decisions on in-process non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

• Quality Responsibilities
• Quality Job Review – jobs released to the floor
• Review customer quality clauses and PO quality and other requirements
• Review customer Control Plan requirements
• Verify that inspection plan and manufacturing process plan align
• Review master change documents for issues and ensure implementation of changes
• Review CMM programs and sample inspection reports by Operation
• Oversee floor inspection and production quality issues
• Oversee CMM, standard gauging and fixtures; maintain metrology and deburr equipment
• Validate product manufactured
• Create, review and modify quality procedures as required
• Final review of initial run jobs for efficiencies and document findings
• Issue non-conforming discrepancy notifications to customers
• Provide root cause and corrective action information / documentation for discrepant products
• Develop, review and improve quality processes as required
• Evaluate machine capabilities; perform CMM and manual inspections as needed
• Supervision Responsibilities
• Work with HR to aid in hiring when openings arise
• Complete employee performance evaluations (probationary & annually)
• Management Team Member
• Attend management team meetings
• Provide quality advisory input to management
• Update management on current loads, quality issues, manufacturing issues, customer satisfaction (OTD & Quality ratings)
• Facilitate and maintain AS9100 Business Management System
• Manage AS9100 Internal Audit Process and preparation for external audits
• BMS / Quality Manual maintenance to ensure AS9100 compliance
• Daily General
• Work with other Managers, TC's & TM's to ensure quality and timely completion of jobs
• Address training needs and requirements
• Interface with customers to clarify part requirements (print issues, standards, GD&T questions, processes, etc.)
