Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and results-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our professional office buildings. This position is responsible for creating a clean, safe, and productive environment while managing facilities staff, maintaining a fleet of company vehicles, coordinating vendor relationships, and providing key support services.
Key Responsibilities
The Facilities Manager will :
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
Manage HVAC operations through facility management software.
Conduct and schedule routine inspections of both locations, addressing maintenance issues proactively.
Coordinate and manage repairs with vendors and contractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
Perform smaller maintenance repairs when feasible.
Oversee and maintain a fleet of company vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with licensing / registration requirements.
Supervise and mentor a staff member, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Manage custodial contracts to ensure high-quality cleaning of all office spaces, common areas, and restrooms.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and warranties.
Respond to emergency situations, prioritizing safety and continuity of operations.
Stay up to date on relevant codes and regulations related to building maintenance and safety.
Provide essential employee support services, including office supply management, mailroom services, and coffee bar upkeep.
Assist with space planning and office reconfigurations as needed.
Contribute to sustainability initiatives for building and facilities management.
Qualifications
Required :
Minimum 3 years of facilities management experience, ideally across multiple locations.
Hands-on ability to perform basic maintenance tasks (sink repairs, HVAC cleaning, etc.).
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
Proven experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Experience working with vendors and contractors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred :
