We are seeking a field-based technician to support a federal contract for the installation, testing, and maintenance of panic and intrusion alarm systems at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) outpatient clinic locations in Hillsboro, Salem, West Linn, Fairview, and The Dalles.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and test alarm systems including keypads, panels, door contact sensors, motion sensors (PIR / microwave), and wireless panic alarms
- Ensure systems are configured to allow monthly live testing with a monitoring center
- Respond to service calls within 4 hours; complete warranty repairs within 5 business days
- Maintain alarm system functionality across multiple client locations
- Maintain worksite cleanliness and minimize disruption to clinic operations
- Provide schedule updates and submit documentation as required
Minimum Requirements
5 years of experience installing, servicing, or supporting intrusion detection and / or panic alarm systemsAbility to travel by private conveyance to multiple Veterans Administration clinic sites across western Oregon as assignedWorking knowledge of alarm system components, including sensors, keypads, sirens, and remote access configurationsStrong communication skills and professional conduct in federal healthcare environmentsValid driver's license and ability to travelU.S. work authorizationPreferred
