About the Opportunity :
Requirements and Qualifications :
1. High School Diploma / GED-General Studies
2. Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States; Valid driver's license required.
3. Minimum 2 experience in plastic injection molding industry as a setup technician
4. Ability to multitask, run several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time.
5. Ability to communicate with other departments in a professional and respectful manner
6. Basic computer skills
7. Strong problem-solving skills
8. Processing, controller, and material knowledge of injection molding equipment, tooling, and decoupled molding techniques (Scientific Molding).
9. Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment.
10. Knowledge of a variety of injection molding presses
11. Understanding of blueprint reading.
12. Knowledge of setting up processes
13. To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Setup injection molding machines per documented instructions.
2. Properly startup work centers to run within validated processes to produce products correctly the first time, on time.
3. Operate tooling, presses and auxiliary equipment properly to prevent damage and / or material contamination including hot runner systems, valve gates, servo drivers, pick outs, tooling protection sensors etc.
4. Conduct effective operator training for press and mold functions.
5. Perform daily Docs and PMs to ensure effective production runs over time and to confirm each press is running within process limits and document process settings as such.
6. Document required information using good documentation practices on all company records.
7. Properly shut down work centers including proper purging of the molding systems to prevent damage or contamination.
8. Provided timely responses to press alarms or production issues for running products.
9. Work with cross functional employees to address production concerns for technical or product quality concerns / issues.
10. Conduct accurate press to press process conversions to scientifically transfer processes as required.
11. Generate accurate and complete ECO requests as required.
12. Provide accurate and complete handoffs to incoming technicians to help launch the incoming shift successfully.
13. Complete full shut down and line clearance activities to stage work centers for next setups.
14. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
