Overview
Role : Maintenance Engineer II. Location : Corning, NY (100% onsite). Duration : 1 year contract, potential to convert to full-time. Pay Range : $34–$37 / hr. (Client possibly willing to flex on pay rate for the perfect candidate)
What you'll do
Seeking a Maintenance Engineer with strong leadership and facilities / maintenance knowledge. This role is more advisory than hands-on—focused on auditing, evaluating, and improving maintenance processes across multiple locations. The position involves some travel, working alongside senior leaders to help standardize maintenance operations and implement Condition based Maintenance (CbM) programs.
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years in a Maintenance / Facilities department within a manufacturing plant
- Experience with CMMS (Maximo strongly preferred)
- Background in preventative maintenance scheduling, troubleshooting, and project planning
- Leadership experience (shop lead, supervisor, or project manager background welcomed)
- Familiarity with CbM, smart sensors, and industrial automation (PLC, SCADA, OPC, Historian)
- Bacehlor\'s degree is required to be converted to full-time
- Strong communication and advisory skills
