What you get to do

• Is the fourth level in the engineering series. Incumbents lead complex engineering projects and initiatives. This role has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

Aligns with and actively supports Amcor values by putting safety first in all situations.

Determines customer needs by identifying problems and safety concerns. Develops and evaluates solutions to define project scope.

Interfaces with people, departments, and / or companies to ensure equipment is safe, on schedule and to specification.

Manages project costs, scheduling and communications for multiple complex engineering projects; varies in scope and responsibilities.

Participates in continuous improvement / kaizen teams and leads as requested.

Contributions are highly complex and may involve supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrates ownership and proposes improvements to existing engineering designs.

Ensures team members keep others informed about plans, developments, changes and challenges; seeks ways to improve communication quality and frequency.

Sets clear objectives and expectations; provides continual feedback and addresses performance issues promptly. Encourages others to exceed perceived limits.

Supports accountability for decisions and effectively leads and empowers teams.

Uses prior project management experience to unite resources; challenges and understands where differences lie in final project savings numbers.

Facilities : Evaluates and improves best practices in engineering design, layouts and installations; develops testing processes and validates facility / manufacturing infrastructure designs; performs engineering calculations; creates and reviews technical drawings and specifications.

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, Controls / Automation or related field
