GRT Ripley Operations LLC is seeking a Human Resources and Safety Manager for our Ripley Mississippi manufacturing plant
Responsibilities for this position include :
- Partner with operations management to oversee and promote safety programs and culture. Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Plans, implements and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.

- Recruitment, selection, onboarding, placement, and movement of employees.
- Conduct proactive candidate searches as needed using available web / social media tools (e.g., indeed, LinkedIn, etc.) or other means.
- Lead development of training materials and oversee training delivery to ensure an effective onboarding process.
- Educate employees about company rules, policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Manage the company's job bid process, disciplinary procedure, and attendance programs.
- Administer the company's employment policies and maintain all required documentation.
- Enforce accountability for employee compliance with the company's attendance and other policies.
- Ensure the company's compliance with state and federal employment law.
- Facilitate all employee communications and employee relations activities.
- Provide advice and guidance to all employees regarding company policies or other employment matters and facilitate resolution of matters raised by employees.
- Maintain personnel files and electronic records.
- Administer compensation and benefits.
- Perform other employee and policy-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications / Attributes :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Management, business, or other relevant discipline.ADP system experience preferred.Versed in state and federal employment law.At least two years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.Excellent written and verbal communication.Open to flexible work hours that would accommodate operations and periodic employee communication needs. This position would also be able to work distantly at times and be able to flex hours as needed, provided employee communication opportunities are routinely maintained.Strong leader able to deal directly and expeditiously with conflict or performance issues, while maintaining positive relations with all employees and promoting a positive working environment based on fair dealings and open communication.
