Responsibilities Position is in a medical imaging ultrasound department Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM Performs routine and specialized ultrasound examinations for patients of all ages Must be able to assess abdominal arterial and venous systems using color imaging Works with various ultrasound equipment and is expected to be knowledgeable in its operation Requires use of Epic EMR with documented experience No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility Conducts diagnostic ultrasound procedures and prepares patients for examinations Assists radiologist with biopsies and orders labs and pathology as directed Prepares and maintains sterile trays and equipment, and troubleshoots issues as needed Guides students and fellow technologists, sharing departmental protocols Participates in QA, QC, and QI programs within the department RTO (Requested Time Off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Employees may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returning Travel partners are not permitted Requirements Minimum of 1 year ultrasound / sonography experience Associate’s degree in Ultrasound / Sonography or completion of an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography program Current BLS (AHA) and ARDMS certification required Epic charting experience required Competency in performing and adapting ultrasound procedures, including sterile technique for biopsies Proficiency in English and basic computer knowledge Strong critical thinking, communication, and multicultural sensitivity skills Level 1 trauma experience required License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618580.
