Production Control Specialist

The Production Control Specialist manages and coordinates the production and manufacturing schedules, flow of materials (raw and finished goods) between departments, receiving, inventory and shipping of materials. They help manage day-to-day goals of the production and manufacturing teams, working hand in hand with the Production and Manufacturing Managers for specific area tasks and responsibilities. Using both the D365 ERP system and in-house software, they set the strategic direction for their team which oversees the schedules, review of required materials / parts, shipping & receiving functions, and doing whatever it takes to ensure 100% complete and on time delivery.

Job Functions :

• Maintain oversight for all items related to Production Control.
• Provide information on lead time requests from sales department.
• Manage creation of D365 Production orders and generation of demand in MRP.
• Manage receiving and put-away process for incoming components.
• Manage in-house inventory, including layout, audits and inventory adjustments.
• Manage both internal manufacturing and final assembly schedules.
• Manage coordination of Shipping for final product as well as Customer Service / Spares orders.
• Support Production and manufacturing area TPS efforts
• Lead and / or participate in Kaizen events
• Work in Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP system for inventory and scheduling items
• Lead and develop a best-in-class team steeped in the Toyota Production System.
