Job Summary

The Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safe operation and reliability of the refinery rotating equipment by applying standard engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in providing solutions to a variety of rotating equipment problems that develop during operation, maintenance repair and / or turnarounds, as well as performing root cause failure analysis in order to make recommendations for equipment that will eliminate the causes for equipment unreliability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil) or other related engineering degree.
• 4 years minimum experience, 10 years preferred, of refinery or petrochemical plant experience with rotating equipment, especially pumps, motors, turbines, and compressors.
• SAP, word processing, spread sheet, database, presentation, familiarity with the internet.
• Advanced level of familiarity with engineering practices and industry standards and specifications related to engineering.
• Ability to manage assigned projects under limited supervision.
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC)
