Senior Counsel (Nashville)

I am partnered with a leading health system in Nashville looking to expand their legal team. This organization is looking to add a Technology Counsel with over 10 years of experience. This role will provide strategic legal counsel on a wide range of technology-related matters, including digital health, data privacy, cybersecurity, software licensing, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the healthcare regulatory landscape and a strong track record of advising on complex technology transactions and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide legal guidance on technology transactions, including SaaS agreements, cloud services, software licensing, and vendor contracts.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues related to digital health platforms, AI / ML tools, telemedicine, and mobile health applications.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.
• Monitor and interpret evolving laws and regulations affecting healthcare technology, including FTC, FDA, and state-specific digital health laws.
• Provide training and education to internal stakeholders on legal risks and best practices in technology adoption and innovation.
